From Instagram to a £16.5 Million Chelsea Sale
UK Sotheby’s International Realty has completed the sale of a substantial six-bedroom house on Tregunter Road after competing interest from buyers, with a sale agreed within one week of the property launching online.
The instruction originated through social media when the owner first contacted Senior Director Sam Sproston after seeing an Instagram reel for an entirely different family house in Wandsworth Common. The initial enquiry developed into a wider conversation, eventually leading to UK Sotheby’s International Realty being appointed to sell the owner’s Chelsea home.

Working alongside Senior Director Sarah Peck, Sam initially introduced the property to buyers off market before coordinating a carefully timed launch on the UK Sotheby’s International Realty website, supported by targeted social media activity.
The house quickly attracted competing interest. The successful buyer had been searching for more than two years before finding the property, drawn to its address, exceptionally large garden and off-street parking.
Offered with an asking price of £16.5 million, the six-bedroom house extends to 4,978 sq ft. High ceilings, original period features and beautifully proportioned reception rooms define the interiors, while an open-plan kitchen and dining room and conservatory provide further space for family life and entertaining.
Outside, the mature landscaped garden is unusually generous for central Chelsea, while off-street parking for three cars adds another particularly sought-after feature.
Sarah Peck said: “Tregunter Road is one of Chelsea’s most prestigious addresses, and this house was a rare find, with an expansive garden and off-street parking in the heart of the area. Agreeing a sale within a week of launching demonstrates the importance of understanding current buyer demand and adapting the sales strategy accordingly.”
The transaction also highlights the growing role of social media in the prime London market. Rather than simply acting as a promotional tool for an individual property, digital content can begin conversations, introduce agents to future clients and ultimately lead to high-value instructions.
Sam Sproston said: “The entire relationship began with an Instagram reel, which shows how effective digital marketing can generate tangible, high-value business. A combination of targeted visibility, an initial off-market campaign and a well-timed public launch allowed us to build momentum and secure the right result for our client.
“Working with Sarah was a great example of our borderless broker model in action, allowing us to draw on relationships and expertise across the business to manage the sale.”
The result further demonstrates the depth of demand for substantial family houses in Chelsea, particularly those with generous entertaining space, private gardens and off-street parking. UK Sotheby’s International Realty also sold the neighbouring house on Tregunter Road earlier this year, giving the team detailed knowledge of buyer appetite on the street.
Following the two successful sales, Sarah and Sam remain in contact with qualified buyers seeking similar homes in Chelsea and the surrounding areas.
