Coombe Area Guide

Part of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Coombe sits between Wimbledon, Kingston, Richmond Park and New Malden. It has long been one of London’s most discreet family enclaves. There is no high street, no boutique parade and no effort to stage village life. Instead, you find broad roads, golf courses, tall hedges, generous houses and a rare quietness for this part of London.

Coombe’s history runs deep. Mentioned in the Domesday Book as “Cumbe”, the area also bears traces of Roman settlement. Today its appeal lies more in quality of life than in history: large detached houses, strong schools and green surroundings that make family living feel unhurried.
