Villa "I Platani" timeless elegance

As one of the most illustrious historic residences on Lake Como, it comprises the main villa and SPA of 1073 sqm (11549 sq.ft.) and a delightful guest house of 184 sqm (1981 sq.ft.).

Currently undergoing renovation since 2019, with careful attention to restoring it to its former glory using cutting-edge materials, technologies, and services.

In the vast park that extends over 5700 sqm (61354 sq.ft.), numerous majestic plane trees stand, giving the villa its name. Among them, one particularly ancient and imposing tree rises to a height of 50 meters with a trunk circumference of 8 meters.

Considered the tallest "oriental plane tree" in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, it boasts an estimated age of about 350 years.

These venerable plane trees likely predate the construction of the villa, planted in what was once a flat meadow near the lake by the wealthy Brentano family, renowned traders dealing in oriental goods across the continent.
