The Croft
Five Architect-Designed Houses in a Private One-Acre Setting
Set behind a quiet residential street, The Croft is a collection of five detached houses within a secure gated enclave. A private drive winds beneath mature trees to the homes, each with its own garden and terraces. The houses centre on a planted, double-height atrium that brings daylight deep into their interiors.
Architecture Built Around an Atrium
Drawing on the Arts and Crafts history of the site and surrounding streets, pitched roofs and deep arched entrances are paired with warm, multi-tonal brickwork and dark bronze window frames. Sedum-planted roofs carry the landscaping across the upper elevations.
At the heart of each three-storey house, a glass atrium opens to the sky around a Japanese Acer. Its changing canopy creates a focal point throughout the year, from the colour of autumn to the light admitted by its bare winter branches.
Inside, natural oak tones, porcelain stone and soft linen shades form a restrained backdrop. Bespoke storage, fitted wardrobes and full-height porcelain bathrooms sit alongside Miele appliances and Taj Mahal porcelain worktops. Underfloor heating, bedroom air conditioning, Lutron lighting and ultrafast fibre complete the interiors.
Solar panels, air-source heat pumps, green roofs and dedicated EV charging form part of the homes’ energy-conscious specification.
