One Palace Green
A Distinguished Quarter of London
One Palace Green sits on Kensington Palace Gardens, a private, gated road, with Kensington Palace and the lawns and tree-lined paths of Kensington Gardens next door. Hyde Park is beyond, and Holland Park, with its Kyoto Garden, is a short walk away. Kensington Church Street has antique dealers and galleries, and Kensington High Street has plenty of shops and restaurants. The Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum and the Design Museum are nearby, as is the V&A, where the Morris Room, decorated by Morris's own firm, is still part of the café. Knightsbridge is a little further on.
Built by British Icons
One Palace Green is a Grade II* listed mansion on Kensington Palace Gardens, built in 1870 to designs by the Victorian architect Philip Webb, with decoration by the designer and poet William Morris. REDD has worked with Pilbrow & Partners, Flanagan & Lawrence and Martin Kemp Design to turn it into five apartments and a detached coach house. The homes range from 644 to 4,800 sq. ft., with gated access and communal gardens.
