The small Surrey town of Esher retains a timeless village feel despite being just off the A3 within the M25 London ring road and only a 25 minute train ride to London Waterloo. It has a pleasant green with Victorian cottages and a Gothic style Victorian church, add to the village feel, plus the town is bordered by wooded commons and the River Mole. A warm and lively town, the high street is lined with cafes and fine restaurants, and families are well catered for with good schools in both the private and state sectors. One of the great attractions of Esher is Sandown Park Racecourse, where racing takes place all year, both on the flat and over jumps. The facilities are excellent and the leisure venue also offers an 18-hole golf course.
